  3. Add Salt: Later In a bowl, add the lemon pieces and sprinkle the salt over them. Mix well and let it sit for about 2 hours. The salt will help soften the lemons and draw out some of the moisture.

  5. Transfer to a Jar:  Earlier, take a clean, dry glass jar, and transfer the lemon pickle into it. So make sure the jar is also dry to prevent spoilage. Press the lemon pieces down to pack them tightly.
  6. Pour Mustard Oil: Another pan and Heat the mustard oil until it starts to smoke, then let it cool to room temperature. Pour this oil over the lemon pickle in the jar. It acts as a preservative and adds a lovely flavor.
  7. Store and Wait: Afterwards Seal the jar tightly and place it in a cool, dry place. Let the pickle sit for at least a week to allow the flavors to meld. The longer you wait, the tastier it gets!
